Your Wedding Venue Should be Perfect, Just Like Your Day

By Charlie Ricker

You want your wedding day, the most special day of your life, to be perfect. It all starts with finding the best wedding venue for your ceremony and reception. But with everything you're planning, looking for a venue may seem too overwhelming. Not to worry, there is a wedding venue made for your unique ceremony and celebration, no matter how many guests you may be inviting. All you need to do is come up with a simple list of requirements and set about fulfilling them.

First and foremost you need to determine how much you can spend on a wedding venue. Don't forget to add together all of the things you, your mate or your parents are going to be paying for. This includes flowers, food and the all-important cake. You will find that some venues will be out of your reach financially. But, you can make an affordable wedding venue the perfect place with some ingenuity.

Next on your list is determining how many people you will have at your ceremony and reception, and ensuring they all have a place to sit. Your wedding venue will need to have room for all of them, give or take a few to be safe. The last thing you want to be dealing with on your special day is not having room for Aunt Ida and her invited guest. Now look at the catering available at the venue of your choice, and be sure it meets your standards. Consider vegetarian options in addition to a regular plate.

Now you'll want to be sure there won't be any issues with time restrictions concerning your ceremony. And most importantly, the party afterward! Be sure to ask the prospective venue if there are other ceremonies or events that day, and if the time allotted for your wedding is flexible. Finally, be sure the venue is accessible to all guests, including those who may need special requirements. It's always nice to have a wedding venue near major roadways and public transport, if at all possible.

Through all of this, don't forget that you should love every minute of planning your special day. It should be a day to remember, even if everything isn't absolutely perfect going on. Finding the right wedding venue doesn't need to be stressful if you know what you're looking for. Make a list of requirements and stick to it. Maybe you'll get everything, but even if you only come close, your wedding day will be beautiful. Just don't forget overnight accommodations for your guests, and of course, you and your new husband or wife!
